Rainbow

We can usually count on being gifted with the sight of a beautiful rainbow arching across the ridges of our property after a storm. Yesterday was no different. I was greeted by this beauty when I stepped out onto my front porch. Even part of a double rainbow!

I also love the way the sky turns pink and fiery after a storm.

  1. I saw the double immediately in that first shot,... I always feel lucky when I see a rainbow, it reminds me of how nice life really is. Thanks for your pics, ... giving me a rainbow today!

  2. Beautiful Aleta, I love rainbows... I remember when I lived in Big Stone Gap, I'd sit on the side porch and listen for a thunderstorm to come up between the mountains.. The thunder would bounce from one side to the other... SO NEAT.. I loved thunderstorms --especially during the summer.

Did you get much rain with this latest storm? We got some heavy rain--but only for a very short time. Our winds were VERY severe though.. One of our solar lights out front is GONE!!!!

Have a great weekend. Happy Valentine's Day.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  3. Hi, Cedar - Yes, I agree with you; rainbows remind me of how nice life really is! Thanks for looking!
Hi, Betsy - We received some wind, but not as much as we had thought would come, and we only got a little bit of downpour - 3/10" to be exact (Doug keeps track for COCORAHS, so we always know how much precipitation we get!).

    Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!
