Raccoon Family
Mama brings her two babies to the feeder. She comes early sometimes - before dark - because if she doesn't, the food will be eaten by another racoon mama that has three babies.
I bet they grow em' bigger in the northern states, if that's where you are! Some here are pretty big and I think in the winter they put on extra fur and look bigger that way.
They look like they are all connected, hah,so dear!! Last night we had skunks out there after the rain to get slugs we guess. It was AWFUL! We had to close the windows & Rich put the outside lights on in hopes of driving them away.phylliso
Rabbits cookin' coffee -- that's what the locals call it. But here in this little hollow in East Tennessee, when the hills surrender their misty hostage to reveal the stalwart cedars growing by the stream in our pasture, I know there is no place on earth I would rather be. The welcome mat is out! Come and sit on the porch and chat with me awhile!
They are so cute! I remember the first ones that I saw here, they were almost black (in winter) and huge! I thought they were Wolverines or something.
