Assassin Bug
This insect was on the kitchen screen yesterday. After looking through the book, I believe it is a form of assassin bug. It was at least one inch long. I love the "gold leaf" wing on his back!
Rabbits cookin' coffee -- that's what the locals call it. But here in this little hollow in East Tennessee, when the hills surrender their misty hostage to reveal the stalwart cedars growing by the stream in our pasture, I know there is no place on earth I would rather be. The welcome mat is out! Come and sit on the porch and chat with me awhile!
Aleta, thanks for posting on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for my youngest son to get home from school and see this cool bug. He LOVES bugs, but it is too cold here (in MN) for any bugs to be out.
