Rainbow
We can usually count on being gifted with the sight of a beautiful rainbow arching across the ridges of our property after a storm. Yesterday was no different. I was greeted by this beauty when I stepped out onto my front porch. Even part of a double rainbow!
I also love the way the sky turns pink and fiery after a storm.
I saw the double immediately in that first shot,... I always feel lucky when I see a rainbow, it reminds me of how nice life really is. Thanks for your pics, ... giving me a rainbow today!
Beautiful Aleta, I love rainbows... I remember when I lived in Big Stone Gap, I'd sit on the side porch and listen for a thunderstorm to come up between the mountains.. The thunder would bounce from one side to the other... SO NEAT.. I loved thunderstorms --especially during the summer.
Did you get much rain with this latest storm? We got some heavy rain--but only for a very short time. Our winds were VERY severe though.. One of our solar lights out front is GONE!!!!
Have a great weekend. Happy Valentine's Day. Hugs, Betsy
Hi, Cedar - Yes, I agree with you; rainbows remind me of how nice life really is! Thanks for looking! Hi, Betsy - We received some wind, but not as much as we had thought would come, and we only got a little bit of downpour - 3/10" to be exact (Doug keeps track for COCORAHS, so we always know how much precipitation we get!).
you captured some majestic moments in nature - wow! rabbits cooking coffee - what a visual and anyone who would love their neigbor's lab must be A List
I'm so glad to have stumbled upon your site happy twirls
Rabbits cookin' coffee -- that's what the locals call it. But here in this little hollow in East Tennessee, when the hills surrender their misty hostage to reveal the stalwart cedars growing by the stream in our pasture, I know there is no place on earth I would rather be. The welcome mat is out! Come and sit on the porch and chat with me awhile!
